Out For A Walk
Its been pretty nice out lately, so this image of Darth Vader walking his pet miniature AT AT seemed pretty damn fitting. June was great, and we're looking forward to an even better July. Enjoy your Saturday, guys.
Noisia: Split The Atom (NWS)
A great post apocalyptic music video set to Noisia's drum and bass track about the catalyst to the ultimate form of destruction and devolution, the atomic bomb. In three minutes, you'll get to experience the rise and fall of humanity. I feel like playing Fallout again all of a sudden.
A Version Of Bayonetta You've Never Seen
![]() |
| Art By Wesley Burt. The naughty schoolteacher look is strong in these. |
These previously unseen pieces of art were released by artist Wesley Burt, regarded as a concept art powerhouse in concept art circles. His little description stated that these were a fwe sketches done for Sega back in 2008 in an attempt to show what Platinum Games' Bayonetta might have looked like if she was designed for Western audiences. Considering that the game was released in February 2010, its pretty amazing to see such early artwork of a normally proportioned Bayonetta. The final Bayonetta was over 11 f***ing heads tall! One more sheet of concepts after the break.
Plot Device
This fun little short was submitted by our forums user known as Asinine, and revolves around a guy who buys a mysterious item that sends him spiraling into various movie genres, in his front yard. Its a fun, really well shot short driven by a simple plot device (Ha), featuring a guy who looks like a young John C. Reilly.
Sleepy, Sleepy Maru
Interweb sensation Maru the kitteh is usually busy playing in boxes, and exuding vomit-inducing cuteness. And you know what? He's dog-gone TIRED. Yes, dog-gone! Even while he's splayed flat on his back, his tail going back and forth like a cuckoo clock, he's just too goddamn adorable.
Acute Action Figure Addiction Disorder
A tongue in cheek mockumentary about the horrible addiction facing dozens of middle aged men. Toy collecting, known as AAFAD..or Acute Action Figure Addiction Disorder. I have to say this is pretty spot on in parts, I can easily say that I have to battle the urge to pick up a few dozen Revoltechs and import toys on a daily basis. Once you start collecting, its easy to spin out of control. The action figure help group scene is absolutely hilarious.

Torchwood: Miracle Day
Torchwood is a show I've never been sure of. Being a Doctor Who spin-off, I gave it a chance (because as regular viewers know, I'm British and a HUGE Doctor Who fan). The first season was just a poor Angel rip-off (down to ripped off storylines and characters) but with unsubtle, softcore porn that made a number of friends embarrassed as we watched it with family members. Season 2 got slightly better, but season 3? Amazing, and the right amount of Sci-fi, serious drama and dark twists and turns that kept me hooked, and had me emotionally drained by the end of the events.
So to answer your question, yes I'm very excited for the new season.
Fancy a preview? Not sure why you should be excited? Read the official press release after the break!
RIP Black Rock Studios

I spent a brief time at the studio working in the video editing department. I know people at the studio, and it feels weird that one of the biggest studios under the Disney Entertainment banner is being shut down. Another videogame company bites the dust.
Transformers: Dark Side Of The Moon Review

| For you TL:DR guys. |
But I was so, so wrong. Ladies and gentlemen, Michael Bay has topped himself, releasing a movie somehow even worse than the movies that came before it. So much f**cking worse, as a matter of fact, that the movie experience turned into a survival event for all of us due to the intense mental agony the movie bombarded us with, in waves.
I will present my observations about the movie point by point, after the break.
Life In Pixels
This video just recently came out, featuring some amazingly crunchy 8 bit synth set to beautiful, mildly pixelated scenery with a vintage, coffee stained look. In a few ways it kind of reminds me of the Matta: Release The Freq video we released a few months back which featured footage of deer connecting into a hive mind, set to dubstep. I have to say I kind of preferred how Daniel Rau's version turned out, edging out Matta's unique entry thanks to the choice music alone. Good stuff.
Cat Isn't A Fan Of Aliens
According to the creator, this cat who goes by the name of Banjo enjoys watching the Alien series...But judging from its expression, wide eyed gaze and twitchy ears what I see here is a case of STRESS...LEVELS....RISING...
L'Homme Chat : The Cat Man Of Cannes
Paul Trillo shot this wonderful little portrait of Bela Ardrei, a street performer with a true appreciation of the joy he brings others with his little cat performances. The documentary rounds him out by showing him dealing with a wide variety of situations, from his arrival to his 'show area' to performing, to dealing with people who think he drugs his cats to keep them calm. The presentation and editing is also simply top notch in this mini slice of life documentary.
The New 'Three Musketeers' Trailer
Not too long ago, we posted a teaser trailer for the upcoming "The Three Musketeers" movie. Recently released was a full trailer, as seen here. Do I think it looks more or less promising? I say less, and that's only because Orlando f***ing Bloom is in it. While not bad to look at, his acting leaves something to be desired. And that desire is T-A-L-E-N-T.
Now, I probably shouldn't judge too harshly before seeing- Oh, who am I kidding here. I WILL judge this movie prematurely, goddamit. It appears to be chock full of cliches, and overused gimmicks that make it feel like a Pirates Of The Carribean trilogy knockoff starter attempt. But because I'm a sucker for movies, yeah, I'll see it. BUT I PROBABLY WON'T LIKE IT.
Mission Icefly: Phase 2
Today has been one hell of a day. Around 12PM, the countdown on testsubjectsneeded.com reached it's end, at which point the ARG-driven scavenger hunt began, forcing players to make horrible life-threatening driving decisions. Shortly after the countdown ended, New York and Atalanta were given coordinates to the mysterious dead drop, which players found within the hour. From then on, every hour on the hour, new coordinates were given for the 13 other cities listed, two of which we at Awesome Robo reside in. So what the hell happened and what is it all leading up to? Hit the jump to find out!
Mickey Mouse Posters Should Be More Accessible
I'm a huge a Disney fan, especially Steam Boat Willy-era Disney, the animation is just so fun and colorful despite only being in black and white. While I can sit here and hope that one day Disney will return to it's roots, deep down I know this will never happen. Thankfully, Disney's understanding of what made them doesn't stop imitations! Artist, Tom Whalen created this fantastic piece that he started selling earlier last week. When I saw this poster, I knew I would be purchasing it.
NOPE.
It's sold out, and will never grace the walls of my house, but that doesn't mean I can't show you how amazing it is. The style holds so much nostalgia that I can't help but get a warm feeling in my tummy each time I look at it. Maybe, just maybe, we can one day see a second run of this.
America's got Badasses
This America's got Talent submission should have been submitted to America's got Badasses, 'nuff said. There's nothing quite like rock punching flaming to get that fast track to fame kickstarted.
