Yura Shwedoff is a traditional painter and concept artist from Moscow who's created an absolutely stunning series of alternate posters for television, movies, animation and video-games.

Shwedoff's paintings emphasize some of the most iconic imagery of his subjects, from Peter Weller's jutting chin in Robocop to Sylvester Stallone breaking down into tears in Rambo First Blood. Out of all his posters, I'd have to say his renditions of Hotline Miami and True Detective are my favorites. See more of his collection after the break!

"Our Robocop Remake" - The Crowdsourced Tribute In It's Full Glory

Just like Star Wars Uncut and various other scene-by-scene fan remakes, the people behind Our Robocop Remake decided to pay tribute to Paul Verhoeven's classic dystopic 1987 feature rife with satirical social commentary. And they timed it just right, releasing it just a few days before the reboot premieries, which from what we're hearing, is already getting slammed with negative reviews and people walking out from screenings. While it's not a shot by shot remake, it definitely follows a scene by scene retelling structure. For a full list of everyone that contributed, see the list here.

Our RoboCop Remake is a crowd-sourced film project based on the 1987 Paul Verhoeven classic. We are a group of filmmakers and RoboCop fans who have split the original film into 60 pieces and have remade the movie ourselves. Because if anyone is going to ruin RoboCop, it's us.

Eclectic Method - "Robocop"

Whether we like it or not, Robocop is getting the reboot treatment and is set to be release next month; The first major production by fledgling director José Padilha, it's set to either do well or fail miserably. The fact that it's getting a February release is a little disconcerting, as most movies from the 'wild west' January-March period are typically Hollywood's high risk or low budget leftovers. Nonetheless, Eclectic Method treated us to a fine Robocop flavored remix featuring cut together from the 1987 classic to mark his reincarnation.

Robocop is getting rebooted, directed by José Padilha with Gary Oldman, Samuel L Jackson and Michael Keaton. But remember the original that predicted a future in which the justice system was run by corporations and Detroit was nearing collapse? Well to jog your memory Eclectic Method has spliced it down and jumbled it up into a robostep video noise trac.

Robocop Reboot Gets Its First Trailer

We're happy to have somehow gotten a hold of the brand new trailer for the Robocop reboot directed by José Padilha, which offers us a much more fleshed out look at this futuristic Detroit overrun by crime. Omnicorp is back with their same ideals about melding flesh and machinery, but overall they've taken a few liberties in offering a different take on Murphy's origin story.

The thing that bugs me the most about this initial look is that he's a bit more of a superhero now, with a selection of suits and abilities akin to Tony Stark rather than a straight up cyborg with definite limitations. Don't want to be dogging it just based off a trailer, but like most fans of the original there's been some good reasons to have some doubts as to whether it was necessary to reboot a scifi classic. Judge for yourself, and share your opinions.

RoboCop Licensing Video Raises Some Eyebrows

I had to pinch myself. Had to pinch myself hard today, after watching this laughably bad reel created for licensing purposes related to the atrocious sounding 2013/14 reboot of Robocop. I though this movie was going to be bad after seeing the widely panned redesigns and hearing the premise, but MGM miraculously managed to sink my opinion of the reboot to depths I hadn't even fathomed. In addition to having production values reminiscent of a 1990's training video for Domino's pizza, the video also introduces us to the true masterminds behind a reboot that has left everyone asking the same simple question: 'Why?'
