Drive Movie Poster By James White

This man is making a mistake by not selling this print (Via)
This custom poster was created by James White after getting inspired from watching the flick recently. The inspiration was to combine the look of the original poster with the aesthetics of the artist behind some of the more iconic tracks in the movie, Kavinsky. If you haven't seen the movie yet, most of us here would argue that its one of the best, and most original flicks to hit theaters in recent memory. Its still playing in theaters, so try and catch it if you can. Check out the amazing movie opening track, "Nightcall," below.

Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows Teases You

(Via)
I admit I really liked the stylish Guy Ritchie interpretation of Sherlock Holmes. So a sequel, with Moriarty (Jared Harris) playing a more prominent role this time around, and Stephen Fry playing Mycroft, Sherlock's brother, for added fun? I'm sold on this film already.

The film will be released December 16th, 2011 and we're still waiting on an official trailer for the followup. Robert Downey Jr, Jude Law, Rachel McAdams, and Eddie Marsan all return to reprise their respective roles.

Ghostbusters 3 News At Last!

(Via)
The Licensing International Expo, currently running in Las Vegas, has been a plethora of minor news tidbits and first looks (Including the Dark Knight Rises (Coming soon, FYI...) and the new Zack Synder Superman film) currently driving the internet crazy.

The one that is driving the internet crazy? Thats right, GHOSTBUSTERS 3! A blog called Toys & Gadgets is running an image grab (see above) from what looks like an official Sony press release from the Licensing International Expo currently running in Las Vegas, which states that Ghosterbusters 3 will be arriving in 2013!

Is it finally on it's way? Will we see a trailer soon? Will I ever get Ghostbusters 2 on Bluray? Time will tell...

The Expendables 2

(Via)
Lionsgate recently announced that The Expendables 2 would be hitting theaters on August 17th, 2012. But at Cannes, the artwork was revealed, and now Nu Image has announced the storyline. Stay tuned after the jump because the synopsis is very spoilerific.

Machine Gun Cop

Creating a film is hard. Creating a mock trailer that looks this good is even harder. Especially when you know this film will never be released.

This trailer, created for the Hobo With A Shotgun Trailer Contest has captured the true essence of the genre. And is pretty kick-ass. I would watch this film.

Hobo With A Shotgun will be released on March 25th in Canada and May 6th in the USA

The 'Captain America: The First Avenger' Trailer Has Arrived

Not much I can say, the trailer is out and has a bunch of ass kicking, patriotic footage. Catch wimpy Steve Rogers become a real man and fighting Nazi/Hydra soldiers and some awesome shield throwing action. They should make this into a comic.

Captain America: The First Avenger stars Chris Evans, Hugo Weaving, Tommy Lee Jones, Hayley Atwell and Sebastian Stan and opens July 22.

Planet Of The Apes Reboot "Rises" To Earlier Release Date

Fox is moving Rise of the Apes, a reimagined "origin story" for its fabled Planet of the Apes series, from its previously scheduled November release date. It now has a summer release of August 5th of this year.

I'm interested to see how they handle this remake/reboot. I hope they handle it better than the Tim Burton "Planet of the Apes" remake. It was heartless and the first nail in the coffin Tim Burton's career took (but that's a whole different article in itself).

Lord Of The Rings: Extended Edition

I have the Extended DVD's, I have the Bluray release, and I'll be buying this...You should get it too. Check out the trailer after the jump!

Hobo With A Shotgun

Hobo With A Shotgun is everything I want out of a movie, plus a little more. Taking a few pages from the grindhouse style guide, the movie follows a hobo (played by Rutger Hauer) as he wanders into a new city that is completely overrun with chaos and crime. We're talking pedo Santas, crooked cops, abused prostitutes with no future and all kinds of other unsavory characters.  Faced with the most fubar of situations, Hobo sets out to take matters into his own hands with his trusty shotgun. Not convinced? Let the trailer after the jump do the rest of the convincing.

New Scream 4 Poster Screams Awesome

How do I feel about the Scream Series? I do like it, but does it really need a fourth film? If the Movie is as good as this poster than yes we do. I love Wes Craven, so I expect something I can enjoy.

Robot: Over The Top Just Doesn't Cut It

A new epic has appeared from the Indian Tamil region know in the west as Robot (Enthiran over there).  I've seen my fair share of over the top movies, but this extended clip seriously made my jaw drop.  I literally started skipping over it because I want to find myself a damn copy now.

The action scenes are insanely over the top, so over the top that Michael Bay will probably be catching the first flight over to India to figure out where this movie has been all his life.  I mean, holy sh** I was stunned by how creative they got with the action scenes.

Rubber: A New Breed Of Terror

Every once in a while a movie so bizarre comes out that it challenges everything we know about what to expect from new films.

Rubber is a new film by Quentin Dupieux, dealing with a tire that becomes aware and starts a killing spree after realizing that it has head exploding telepathic abilities.

It sounds crazy, and fake, but let the trailer is concrete proof that this movie is happening.  This sounds like a day one for me..The movie industry really needs to step out and take more chances with original ideas like this.

Looking forward to it.  Check out the trailer and the website!

Disco Dancing FROM HELL!

Remember the 1970's? Disco? Disco Dancing? Vampires and creatures from beyond the crypt?
Am I remembering it wrong? More than likely. But according to this 70's horror epic, my memory is correct. The vampire and demon hunters had afros, and there were more black vampires than just Blacula. More after the jump

Digital Jeff Bridges

A Tron inspired piece we stumbled into.  As the fanfare around the Tron movie dies down, the sweet fanart starts to emerge.  Tron: Legacy was an interesting experience honestly, I'm still a little mixed about it due to the fact I didn't get to do a recap of the first movie before watching Legacy.  I feel that I would have liked it better if I had, as there were plenty of references to the original.  Still a sweet art piece nonetheless.

New Spiderman and Captain America costumes revealed

Two new images were revealed this week for the Spiderman reboot and Captain America flick showing off the new outfits.  Overall, not bad.  The Captain America outfit is a pretty faithful, with some changes that make sense(The wings on the helmet, for example).  The outfit is based off his Ultimate comic line, from the WW2 era.  What bugs me are the absolutely crazy looking guys behind him, who look hilariously out of place for the time this is supposed to place in.

Also, we just found the first blooper in this image.  Somebody needs to teach that right grunt how to setup his flamethrower.

As for the new Spiderman, is it really time for a reboot?  Not everyone might agree, but I feel that the franchise should have gone away for a few years before rearing its head again.  The costume looks fine but I'm not totally sold on the actor, Andrew Garfield.

If I can predict him based off of his role in the Social Network, we're going to see the whiniest Spiderman yet.  We'll wait and see.

Jeff Bridges: The Dude Abides

I'm glad to announce that the long overdue documentary about The Big Lebowski and the mass following the Coen Brothers movie created will be airing on TV today for American viewers on PBS!  One of the quirkiest movies made in the last decade, the documentary focuses on how much of a cult following the movie has acquired.  Pretty sweet, dude.

On a side note:  If you have Netflix, The Big Lebowski is on instant queue!  Start your day off right. ;)
