The year is 1992, a man receives a series of love letters written in Korean. Since Google Translate doesn't exist yet, he's left confused. What could this mean? Nicolas Ménard's music video for Illuminate answers this question with a cascade of minimalist pop abstraction and a flush of hypnotic game-boy inspired graphics. In a world that has not yet been mediated by the ubiquity of technology, can love hope to transcend language and culture?

Some people just have a lot of feelings. They love... A lot. And so hard. This extreme and grotesque animated short by Ross Butter and Joel Veitch shows us a man who with unrequited feelings for a lady he meets on a park bench. I mean, I thought I've heard of crazy before, what with cyber-stalking and showing up to places unannounced. But holy sh*t, does this dude take it to a whole new level. I suppose you can say he thinks outside the box, which is generally a good thing, so... Anyways, most definitely NSFW. Because, damn.

The Love Connection Mashup

We posted Patrick Peris' fantastic cinematic 'Confrontation' mashup a few weeks ago, and now he's back with a brand new video focusing on a more light hearted subject, love. Specifically, that common magical moment in which eyes lock, a connection is made and things take their natural course.
