Oppan Guile Style

If you're familiar with the 'Guile's Theme Goes With Everything' meme, this should come as no surprise. Ever since PSY's track went crazy viral internationally, we've been doing our best to spare our readers from having to hear the track yet again, but this was too good to pass up. The unlikeliest of combinations work perfectly together, again.

Wafaa Bilal's Meme Junkyard - TechnoViking

Wafaa Bilal created a pretty awesome art installation at the Festival Of New Cinema, Digital Culture and Art, featuring the head of technoviking, a meme past it's 'digital prime' featuring a half naked nordic dude dancing his loving face off in public. The concept revolves around giving Twitter users the power to keep his head, or as Waffa put it, 'his ego' literally inflated by mentioning him in Tweets featuring the #technoviking hashtag.

The Meme Junkyard is somewhat of a silly concept, but it's meant to let users reflect about being constantly connected, and the strange cyclical concept of going viral, and how memes generate a ton of interest before abruptly fading into darkness again. The Technoviking meme went on to generate 40 million views in it's prime, spawn countless imitators, remixes and become a staple of internet pop culture. Check out a compilation of all the imitators, 'We Technoviking' after the break!

Slender Man In Your New Minecraft Update

(Via)

Slender Man. A Meme that still haunts my dreams. It still creeps me the f*** out, and it looks like one of the scariest creations the internet mind ever created is coming to Minecraft.

In a Google+ post, Notch revealed a new mob called Enderman. They're depicted as tall, black creatures with long arms and legs, and seem to be able to hold blocks. It's possible the creatures are also based off the Minecraft meme/myth of Herobrine, the alleged dead brother of Notch who roams player's worlds and creates two block high tunnels and pyramids.

Looks like I have less reason to be playing Minecraft at night. Thanks a lot Notch.

Captain America Fights For The United States Of Nyan

I normally resist posting memes, but as the comic editor this one caught my eye....and heart. Meet Nyan America! It's actually really clever, the rainbows are replaced by the colours of the American flag and the stars are bombs....but who cares? NYAN~<3

appendix - Before I get any emails, in Britain we spell colour with a U. We don't have as much freedom, but we love making words longer.

Insert Dubstep Pun Here

Well, folks, it's finally happened. Dubstep jokes have finally jumped ship, but at least we can enjoy one last video to celebrate the end of a historical event(and by that I mean a joke that's managed to last less than a year). Is it just me or is Dubstep already starting to play itself out? It made a huge splash in popular music less than a year ago, but it seems like Dubstep artists are running out of steam. It's becoming increasingly harder to decipher who's who in the bass driven electro-scene.
Than again, maybe it's been stale since it's South-East London debut. Can't say that I am disappointed.

Cat Bread aka NekoPan

This post is dedicated to Catbread, a meme that literally came out of nowhere and started with this gif.

Turns out Neko-Pan was the creation of a Japanese author who used it as a character in Japanese childrens books.  The result?  An adorable carb laden Kitty.
