Derelict Graffiti Timelapse By Sofles

Created as a collab between the Ironlak, Selina Miles from Unity Sound and Visual and street and street artist Sofles, Infinite is an epic music video shot in a series of fluid, moving timelapsed takes. Using a mixture of custom dolly rigs and plenty of post processed image stabilization, the video tracks Sofles going berserk on a series of warehouse walls, dispensing his distinct street art tagging style. The dubstep-tinged soundtrack was provided by Bassnectar, aka Lorin Ashton.

Two Fingers - Vengeance

Amon Tobin's latest electro track comes in the form of Vengeance Rythm, a strung out stop motion exercise in violence brought to life by animator Chris Ullens. A teddy bear rampage results in some spectacular toy fatalities, with nothing held back. Heads explode in slow motion, toy grenades rip stuffed animals into a thousand pieces and a once cute room turns into a toy cemetery. Despite the sound being nothing spectacular (Typical dubstep fare), the visuals absolutely make up for that in every way imaginable.

Dubstep Kitties

These kittehs have some mad jumping skills.  It's amplified even more with a slow-mo and dubstep track (Flux Pavilion's "Bass Cannon", in case you were wondering.  Of course you were).  What about Bass Cannon Puppies??  Someone should make that- Oh wait, someone already has.  Bass Cannon Hamsters, anyone?

Pumped Up Kicks

This is some of the coolest dubstep dance I've seen in a while here on the blog, featuring one of the members of the group going by the name 'Whzgud2' absolutely nailing a slower paced song with some smooth ass moves, amazing faux-mo slowmo, and master level pop locking. 16 Bit: Dinosaurs

The electro group known as 16 Bit deliver their own signature take on Dubstep, and Kristofer Strom animated and directed this epileptic, trippy, psychedelic music video to accompany their latest track. Its the perfect audiovisual experience to accompany the type of mental state that people are usually in while browsing the net at around 5:30 am (Which is what I'm doing). Sick work....Just perfect for this track.

Skrillex: First Of The Year

I know, I know..Its been a while since we posted dubstep. So without further ado, we present Skrillex's newest music video featuring a little girl delivering the most epic of ass kickings to a creeper using some badass telekinetic skills, edited in sync to the beats of the track. Its an epic narrative delivered in just about 3 minutes flat. They damn better make a movie out of this premise.

Mike Diva and CorridorDigital Presents: DUBSTEP GUNS

Awesome Robo favorites, Mike Diva and CorridorDigital, have taken it upon themselves to collaborate on the most advanced form of a gun duel to date. No longer are cool explosions and loud bangs an acceptable form of action, from here on in I expect to see Michael Bay and J.J. Abrams replacing all their sound effects with a slick dubstep track. It's what's in, right?

Eclectic Method's Dark Side

Star Wars flavored dubstep? Well yes, there's no better way to lure troubled souls over to the Dark side than with heavy base and plenty of WOBWOBWOB action. These are the same guys who made the awesome Apocamix that we featured before our Rapturecast live show back in May 2011.

Cosby Teaches the Art of Dubstep Dance

It's always perplexed me as to how the common schmo should dance to dubstep. Unless you possess superhuman pop-locking talents, you're generally out of luck once the DJ throws on that vicious bass. Well, Bill Cosby has been dancing to this stuff and putting ya'll to shame since the 80s. Allow him to get his swag on for your edutainment.

Well, folks, it's finally happened. Dubstep jokes have finally jumped ship, but at least we can enjoy one last video to celebrate the end of a historical event(and by that I mean a joke that's managed to last less than a year). Is it just me or is Dubstep already starting to play itself out? It made a huge splash in popular music less than a year ago, but it seems like Dubstep artists are running out of steam. It's becoming increasingly harder to decipher who's who in the bass driven electro-scene. 
Than again, maybe it's been stale since it's South-East London debut. Can't say that I am disappointed.

Insert Another Dubstep Joke Here

While Dubkips are certainly entertaining, this might be the final nail in the coffin for dubstep jokes. The bass-driven electronic music is great for loud nights, but I'm starting to sense a lack of distinction between dubstep artists. It's definitely become a fad as of recent, but unfortunately it seems the genre doesn't have anywhere to go other than mass amounts of popculture references. Maybe someone will come along and redefine dubstep, but as of now I don't expect anything more than the public interest to start dwindling. 
I have still watched this video at least ten times.

Guided Relaxation

Jay Garderis is one of those dancers that has mastered pop lock dancing, especially in the realm of dubstep.  This seems like quite an accomplishment because from what I've witnessed, dubstep is not the easiest music to dance to due to the genres sparse usage of rythms and overly bassy sound.

Seamlessly flowing between mechanical and fluid states, he delivers a well coordinated spectacle that embodies how far he can push his body to stay in sync with the music.  Another cool performance by the dancer after the jump.

Matta "Release the Freq"

I would characterize my opinions on dubstep as undecided (the same goes for dogstep). I've yet to reach a consensus on whether or not this newly-popular genre is gimmicky and annoying, or a legitimate musical force here to stay. For every catchy and unique dubstep remix I've heard, there exists the inverse uninspired and insipid track. 

Luckily, Matta is inching me closer to the favorable side of the fence with their new music video shown above.  Whatever your opinions are on dubstep, techno, electronica or whatever related sub-genre, I highly recommend you check this out. The pulsating, rhythmic beats mesh well with the synchronized and naturalistic movements of the deer. Even the footage itself looks stunning, as if it were captured by a nature documentarian, and run through a gamut of washed-out filters and color correction. Another highlight includes the Fight Club-esque iconography, which is also slickly incorporated, as if the deer are being seen "through the eyes of a hungry dubstep monster."
