The Evangelion Humidifier : NERV Gas?

(Via)
Merchindise for a franchise is nothing new. But an Evangelion humidifier is an idea that would never cross a sane person's mind when thinking of the famous anime hit. It's weird but it's something you just might have bought if you didn't know the final function. The humidifier is modeled after Shinji's tantrum attack on NERV headquarters and really does look amazing! Honestly, as weird Japanese merchandise goes it makes a nice statue and has LED lights that just make it that much more display worthy. The thing is selling for 9,980 yen ($127) and as winter is coming, it might just be a worth while investment.....check out some more shots after the break.

AwesomeRobo Shop: Now Open!

Designs by Dan Hipp and Reyyy! (Via)
After 6 months of working our butts off, it looks like our AwesomeRobo shop is finally open for business! The idea came sometime around November of last year, when working on a post about the art of Dan Hipp, one of us said, 'This guy's designs would make for some amazing shirts.' And that simple statement set a 6 month process in motion of working with a select group of artists to create a Tshirt line. We currently have 6 designs in hand, and we look forward to unveiling them over the next few months. We were proud to give these artists a chance to show off what their style was about with their shirts, as they all had a unique style to offer.

If you purchase a shirt from our store you'll be directly contributing to help us expand AwesomeRobo, and you shall gain our neverending gratitude! You'll be helping us make our dream come true. We've been volunteer run since day one, but we needed to find a way to help us expand without plastering our website with ads. By pooling our funds together, we were able to put together our Awesome Shop, which we hope you've checked out by now. We've put together some info and behind the scenes after the break! Check it out and spread the word.

Portal 2: Talk To Cave Johnson For Only $40

When life gives you lemons? Go out and spend $40 for the rest. Printed on canvas of pine frame comes the next piece of Portal merchandise you need to own.

That's right, Think Geek has done it again. They just released a portrait of Aperture Science's founder & luminary, Cave Johnson from the game Portal 2. Motion sensors embedded into the frame make him speak 13 phrases from the game including the entire "life gives you lemons" rant. And for the people who want to appreciate art, the thing can be turned off. Sometimes advice can be very....human.

The release date hasn't been announced, but the site says mid December. I guess we will see soon enough.

Portal 2 Plush Turret Is A Triumph

I see you....(Via)
Very rarely do we have official merchandise Portal 2 items that the fans can purchase. Most of the time the items are really cool but are made by fans who only create one of a kind style items that usually are sold for exorbitant amounts.

But there is hope on the horizon: ThinkGeek is selling this official, adorable Portal 2 plush turret on their online store! Standing 14 inches tall this turret will quote one of many phrases when someone walks by, is pushed over or is ignored and switches off. I need 18 of the things guarding my items and belongings. It also has a glowing red eye but the site apologizes for the Turret not having dual working machine guns. The doll will set you back $29.99 and will be available mid-December.

Finally, A Ghostbusters Proton Pack Backpack

Oh my god. Finally, the Ghostbusters related product I've been waiting on for years finally comes out. It seemed like such a straight forward idea. Slap the proton pack design onto a backpack, and make millions. But as a plus, these guys even added one of the blasting wands as a detachable carrier for miscellaneous items. You can get one of these Ghostbusters Proton Packs at Amazon for a cool $30, and make it publically known that you aint afraid of no ghost.

Future Foundation Makes For Fantastic Merchandise

Hey kids! Throw out your old Fantastic Four shirts! Be like the Future Foundation and update your wardrobe!

The shirts, which are available over at Mighty Fine, features the minimalist graphic seen on each Future Foundation member's costume as designed by Marko Djurdjevic. They may be expensive at $25 per shirt, but they really do look cool. I'm not the biggest fan of the design, but I would so buy the Spider-man shirt (and not just because I love the two legged arachnid). Check out the shirts after the jump!
