The Mario Bros Serenade Peach in Luigi's Ballad
It's been all quiet on the animation front for Egoraptor lately. It's understandable, what with the amount of time he devotes to producing Game Grumps and the bizarre level detail/comic insanity he somehow crams into the average 2-minute short. His videos lately haven't really met the standard of guffaw-inducing, double-take WTF-ery his fans have come to expect from him in the past, but it's videos like Luigi Ballad that remind us why we keep the faith.
Will Luigi manage to get the girl, or is Mario still an unrepentant dick? The answer may surprise you.

Berserker Mario and Rubert Da Koopa
On this fine Sunday afternoon we've got two Mario related pieces here by Dorkly and NewGrounds member Rice Pirate for your consumption. In Dorkly's piece, you can observe Mario going into a murderous rampage, and pulling off his best Buffalo Bill impression by wearing a koopa as a head mask.
In Rubert Da Koopa, you'll find out exactly what happens to all those Mario lives, as seen through the aloof eyes of a Mushroom Kingdom minion. Enjoy these Mario flavored offerings.

Mari0 : Super Mario Portal Mashup Set To Make Waves
The choice of using 'The Wizard' to advertise this incredible looking mashup was an absolutely genius choice. 'Stabyourself,' a 2 man group consisting of Maurice Guegan and Saso Smolej came up with the concept of crossbreeding Super Mario Brothers and Portal, and executed the idea beautifully. The game is now out for free, so get your hands on it!
And as for additional features, they've also added 4 player coop, 33 hats to customize yourself, a level editor, game modifiers like bullet time, map packs and more. Go nuts.

Super Mario Beads
This awesome stop motion piece was created by using a pretty uncommon medium, perler beads to allow Mario to take off on a kickass adventure in some guys house. Remember those beads? You'd kind of clump them together and pass an iron on top to make them stick together. The creator took the concept of beads and treated them like sprite maps, creating multiple frames for Mario and Bowser's minions. Check out the first Super Mario Beads that Lefvandebilder created after the break!

We Want To Play Mario Portal
Oh man...Turns out that this is an actual project in development. Its not a clever parody, but an actual full game modification of Mario with a completely functional Portal gun. The creator, Jason Kottke plans to include multiplayer, a unique narrative for Mario Portal, and to release the source code for free so he doesn't get annihilated by Nintendo lawyers. Just from seeing him demo the possibilities, its pretty damn exciting to watch. Can't wait till this gets released.

Put Your Drink In A Warp Pipe

Novelty mugs are a great commodity, not only do you feel cool drinking your beverage, but you look cool too. This Warp Pipe mug from Fangamer is the perfect addition to your already enormous mug collection, but completely worth it when you consider the awesome coasters included. While $34 is a bit steep, the novelty of the cup seems just about worth it.

I'm a huge fan of the artist, Dan Hipp. If you like this art you can purchase it at his site, supplied above. It's worth every Hulk-ed out penny.

Making Of Kraft's Vintage Super Marios Bros.
If you grew up in the mid nineties in the US, and were born sometime in the eighties, there's no doubt that you probably saw this commercial at some point if you were watching any kids programming. This recently unearthed short takes a look at the insane amount of work that went into creating this creative thirty second ad by using a shot by shot breakdown. Its a fascinating look at the early days of CG and the widespread use of mixed media in advertising using some truly creative techniques. This is such a blast to the past, in the best was possible. The piece was created by Curious Pictures, a New York based studio that's still around and doing work in just about every visual medium.

Mario's Dark Secret
This comic might just put to rest where Mario get those extra lives from...A nearly infinite series of clones created by an evil, faceless corporation. Does the webcomic seem familiar to any of you guys though? You'll be surprised as to what its making fun of.

First Person Mario
Another great video by FreddieW, showing off what a first person Mario might look like if given the Call Of Duty treatment. Can't wait to get first plumber prestige.

Mario Party 2 Encourages Laziness
Mario Party is an EVIL series. Since the first game in 1998, me and my friends have had arguments, fights and even weeks of not talking to each other because of this friendship destroying, but fun and amazing multiplayer experience.
But we all love it so. But have you ever wondered how easy the mini-games would be if, in fact, you did NOTHING? As Youtube user KlydeStorm discovers......well, the hilarious answer will shock you. I know how my next game of Mario Party 2 will go.
