"Cult of the Wind" Has Just The Right Amount Of Quirkiness For An Arena Shooter

There has been a gaping hole in my life and I wasn't really sure what it was until arena shooters started to make a sudden comeback. Growing up on the likes of Unreal Tournament, Quake and Tribes there really isn't anything quite like the adrenaline boost  you get from the fastpaced frenzy of a solid arena-FPS.

North of Earth's newest project Cult of the Wind is definitely something to keep an eye on, if only for it's awesomely unique premise. The game takes place in an unknown place and time following a cult which worships the wreckage of ancient planes, which leads them to mimic the ancient dogfights of the past. It sounds like an absolutely insane concept, but it actually draws a lot of inspiration from cargo cults, a real life group of people.

While the concept in itself sounds goofy enough, the true quirkiness comes from the game's pretend fights. Players will compete in ritualistic multi-player human dogfights, complete with imaginary weapons, pretend explosions, and airplane noises made with their mouths" implying that all weaponry in the game is sound based rather than visual. It sounds incredibly ridiculous, but I'm all for it.

Along with the game's multi-player, the game also sports a fancy level editor, allowing players to easily manipulate the world by dragging, dropping, and stretching objects as they see fit. The level-editor looks solid enough, and will really lend a hand in keeping the game's content flowing (something Tribes failed to accomplish). In the end though, any game that lists one of it's selling points as "weird noises" deserves my money, I'm incredibly excited to see how this game pans out.
To vote for this game on Greenlight head over here and keep an eye out for it to drop!

Frog Fractions 2 Is A Thing You Can Fund And You Won't Know What It Is

Never played Frog Fractions? Get on it, right here and right now. For those unfamiliar with Frog Fractions, it's a simple mathematics game intended to teach kids fractions, for those familiar you'll know I'm full of sh*t. I'm really not going to go out of my way to spoil the experience, just know the more you play the better it gets. Trust me.

After nearly 2 years, the crew behind Frog Fractions are back with intents of making the sequel we never knew we needed. The catch is, after the game is funded no one will know what it is until the "jig" is up. Yes that means the title Frog Fractions 2 probably isn't the game's title, instead it's up to gamers to solve the "jig" in order for the development team to reveal the game's true identity. What does that mean for backers? Sounds strange, but they won't receive the game until it's released and revealed.

It sounds absolutely crazy, but so crazy that it needs to happen. The above Kickstarter video doesn't really give any information as to what the game could possibly be, although it does drop a few important keys to solving the "jig" once the game is released. The only issue is, we don't even know when the game will be released, in fact it could already be out (I totally doubt it).

If you'd like to fund this insane social-experiment/game go right ahead over here, I know I'm planning to.

Tony Stark Gets His Sailor Moon On

A lot of the content I find is due to long restless nights filled with insomnia and caffeine, but there are other nights where my lack of sleep creeps up on me and pushes me into content like this where I later find sitting in my drafts. Thanks to a freshman class at Chungkang College of Cultural Industries we're finally given the chance to witness Tony Stark in his true transformative-environment.

Channeling the powers of Sailor Moon, Tony Stark gets pretty damn kawaii, and it leads me to question why all Marvel characters don't have magical girl transformation sequences. Someone get on that crossover stat, just be sure to invite me to the first screening.

Ashes Cricket 2013 Is Hilarious For All The Wrong Reasons

Vinesauce is notorious for corrupting classics and providing hilarious nightmare fueled "Let's Plays", but Ashes Cricket 2013 is on an entirely different level. Unlike Vinny's previous corruption videos, Ashes Cricket 2013 is completely untouched while still providing one of the glitchiest gaming experiences I've ever had the pleasure of watching.

The game was released earlier last month and was quickly removed after the publisher stated that the game was cancelled (somehow after release), but luckily a few people managed to get their hands on it before it was pulled.

I'm not sure what's worse, the fact that there's actually a Cricket video game or the referee's gyrating hips (his hips don't lie). As awful as this game is, the pain in my sides have convinced me to track down this abomination and try it out for myself.

OneyNG's Wingardium Leviosa 2 (NSFW)

After OneyNG's hilarious entry with the first Wingardium Leviosa, I can't remember a week where I haven't quoted it. Thankfully, the massive popularity of the first has warranted a sequel and this time things get a little less safe-for-work. Honestly though, I'm more than okay with the direction it's gone considering that amount of laughs I've had already.

Harry's face near the end will never leave my mind, in fact I'm pretty sure I've reached the point of it burning into my retinas.

SWAG.MOV (nsfw)

Even if you're not a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, there's really no reason for you not to be a fan of Max Gilardi and his PONY.MOV series. What began over a year ago has finally reached it's epic conclusion with the final entry into the series, SWAG.MOV. I always find it hard to say goodbye to a series, but this is definitely the right way to see it go. If you haven't gotten a chance to watch all of Max's work I suggest moving your mouse a little and checking out his YouTube.

Scream-Dubbed Cat Yawn Compilation

I'd say on the most part, funny videos on the net illicit a chortle or a "heh" out of me.  They're good, sometimes even great, but for whatever reason I just don't have any huge reaction  (unless watching with someone else, in which case we kinda bounce off each other laughter-wise).  But this... THIS... Made me lose my s*it.  There were tears, yes.  And all it took was a simple idea to dub yawning cat videos.  We've helped unearth a true gem.
