Bungie's Destiny Gameplay Trailer - Massive Worlds, Familiar Gameplay
The folks at Bungie premiered their gameplay trailer for their amazing and ambitious Destiny, which plans on being a game that will unfold and evolve over the course of multiple years. Aside from looking absolutely gorgeous on the next gen hardware it was shown on. Featuring an example of the squad based cooperative gameplay and a taste of the absolutely massive worlds, there were some truly jaw dropping moments to be had.
Featuring a Hunter and Warlock class, the fluid gameplay reminded us of a mix between Borderlands and Halo, with it's familiar shooting mechanics and loot based gameplay, with a persistent MMO aspect which will be familiar to people who have played games like Guild Wars 2. My favorite moment revolved around an open world event towards the end of the presentation which featured the squad fluidly transitioning into a battle against a massive spider mech called a 'Devil Walker.' Check out the full 12 minute live gameplay playthrough above.

The Law Of The Jungle - Destiny Official Trailer
As E3 draws near, Bungie has released a new cinematic trailer for their upcoming multiplatform epic, narrating the ancient code regarding the struggle for survival: 'For the strength of the pack is the wolf, and the strength of the wolf is the pack.' The emphasis on that passage along with the actual content seems to emphasize the need for teamwork to make it in the evolving world of Destiny.
Featuring the man we've come to love and hate as Gustavo (Giancarlo Esposito) in Breaking Bad narrating these passages to his child while the mysterious 'Traveler' sphere looms off in the distance, we grow ever more intrigued as to whether this series might also get a live action treatment to accompany it's release as part Bungie's multimedia experience initiative.

Bungie's Destiny Concept Art Dump
As part of Bungie's 2013 GDC talk regarding the development of the look of characters in their upcoming Destiny project, there's been a massive amount of concept art released showcasing the evolution of the project and the many settings, characters and scenarios developed for players to experience.
The video above offers a look at factions including The Vex, Fallen, Cabal, Hive, Titan, Warlock and Hunters, and I'm guessing there's quite a few that haven't even been unveiled yet. The concept art aspect features a few years of work for the project in no particular order, including some straight up fantasy art, which is curious to say the least. The migration of a few former Guild Wars 2 (Like former concept lead Kekai Kotaki) veterans definitely lends itself to a new type of loose visual exploration style that I've typically never associated with Bungie, with the exception of Jamie Jones' contributions. Check out a massive amount of art after the break!

Bungie Unveils The World Of 'Destiny'
Bungie just unveiled the concept for Destiny, their upcoming 'shared world shooter,' and it looks like they've delivered on the hype they've built up around this project. Part sandbox, part shooter, part MMO and multiplatform in ways that have never quite been attempted. The entire concept of this game is rather mind bending, but exciting for it's refusal to adhere to any particular genre.
Following a ten year narrative arc, the game will attempt to craft a persistent universe that will keep player constantly involved and immersed in a seamless gameplay experience with plenty of social media connection as well. The entire idea evokes memories of playing Journey, except with an infinitely grander scale and an engrossing scifi world. We're looking forward to hearing more about this one. Check out some awesome concept art from the Bungie folks after the break.
