Metal Gear Sunrising

We've seen FreddieW and his team do plenty of amazing stuff with his Aftereffects mastery, but nothing quite as amazing as this recent ode to Konami/Platinum Games' Metal Gear Rising. Based off of the chilling introduction scene to Patrick Bateman in American Psycho, this fantastically executed short features Raiden offering an inner monologue about his true nature, while going over his rather meticulous morning routine. I won't spoil it, but the concept is absolutely perfect from start to finish. Compare it to the actual scene it's based off of, below.

HIdeo Kojima's "Rising" Trailer

Since the E3 demo I got my hands on last year, I've been waiting at the edge of my seat with anticipation for the official release of Metal Gear Rising: Revengence. The game is an absolute blast and anything that our lord and savior Hideo Kojima puts his hands on receives the King Midas treatment. Honestly though, it feels like it's been quite sometime since I've had the chance to play a truly original and fun AAA title, which Revengence fills with it's long sharp sword.

To celebrate the games launch, Kojima has edited this trailer himself to showcase the wild ride we're all in for. No doubt about it, this is the best trailer for the game to date and it's made even more excited to sink more time into the game. The game is out now and I highly suggest you pick it up, it's all around blast.

The New Metal Gear Rising Revengeance Trailer Has A Case of Batmanitis

As you may know, Metal Gear Rising Revengeance (god I never get tired of typing that) was our pick of most satisfying game of E3 last year and time is quickly counting down to the games release. To pump up fans even more, Konami has released a new trailer revealing the return of 'Jack the Ripper.'

While the trailer does exactly what it intends; Pumping fans up for the ridiculously over-the-top action, I can't help but cringe at Raiden's dialogue. Maybe I need to go and play Metal Gear Solid 4, but I don't seem to remember Christian Bale playing the role of Batman playing the role of Raiden. Still, despite the cringe-worthy beginning the trailer is still badass and I can't wait to get my hands on the full game February 19th.
