The Art of Mikhail Rakhmatullin

I've been following Mikhail Rakhmatullin's work for awhile now. A Russian artist hailing from Moscow, what strikes me the most about Mikhail is his stylistic propensity for sci-fi fantasy characters with exaggerated stature and colorful costumes that make for memorable silhouettes.

Elongated necklines, broad shoulders, bow-legged posture and gorgeously detailed outfits. His concept work is equally impressive, strong creature and location designs that make for a well-rounded portfolio. Catch more of his work after the break.

Masaaki Yuasa-directed Adventure Time To Premiere Later This Year

A good friend of mine turned me on to Masaaki Yuasa's work awhile back. If you're an anime enthusiast, it's likely you recognize Yuasa's beautifully crazy style from such works as Kaiba, The Tatami Galaxy, Kick Heart, or that one particularly trippy episode of Samurai Champloo (you know the one).

Well it's looks like you can add Adventure Time to that list too, because the Yuasa-helmed "Food Chain" is airing this June. While the episode isn't canon (Yuasa was given full autonomy) and this isn't the first time the Adventure Time folks have completely handed the reins off to someone else (see: 'A Glitch is a Glitch'), I think that his signature eccentricities are uniquely compatible with Adventure Time's light-hearted craziness. I can't wait to see the full episode!

Rodrigo Ico's Amazing Adventure on Titan Fan Art!

(Via)

Attack on Titan and Adventure Time are two critically acclaimed shows that are both equally amazing in their own right. One is a hilariously over the top, hyper-serious anime with a ton of gore that follows the cardinal rule of 'no-one is safe from death,' and the other is a post-apocalyptic coming-of-age story posing as a children's show. It was only a matter of time before someone mashed them together, peanut-butter jelly style.

Rodrigo Ico manages to combine what makes both of these shows so great into a piece that's both hilarious and vaguely terrifying. Nice job mate. Check out some of Rodrigo's other pieces after the break.

Saimen Lee's "Adventure Time Remix"

(Via)
Malaysian illustrator Saimen Lee decided to do his own distinct interpretation of Rebecca Sugar's Adventure Time. Applying some of the regions folk aesthetics as well as his stylistic fixation with skulls and bones, Saimen's remix series ended up turning the entire cast of the show into something straight out of the Dia de los muertos!

From Finn and Jake to Beemo, they're all portrayed in a similar undead state with an awesome sense of symmetry and interpretation of shapes that gives it that distinct folk art vibe. More of his awesome Adventure Time pieces after the break!

Adventure Time In Lego

The fun folks at Screen Novelties, a collective of self proclaimed 'creative weirdos' specializing in stop motion work were approached by the folks behind Adventure Time to recreate the awesome opening of the show with Legos for a special episode. The end result is a completely spot on 1:1 recreation using everyone's favorite bricks. Originally featured on Youtube's spectacularly awful Geek Week, we waited until it showed up on Vimeo to feature it as to not fuel that fire.

Our friends at Adventure Time hired us to play with Lego for a couple months. It was one of the most Mathematical-est projects we've gotten to do.

Bravest Warriors Season Finale is Here!

This episode is filled to the brim with Catbug need I say more? I'm loving every bit of Bravest Warriors we get, and it's a bit sad to see the season end, especially on such a cliffhanger. That being said, I'm ecstatic to see where the series heads in the next season. If Adventure Time is anything to base assumptions off of, I would expect the next season to be much more story driven with solid character development.

On top of the fantastic season finale, Cartoon Hangover has also released their 2013 cartoon lineup, which is looking to be mighty solid. Just take a look at the bellow video and try not to be excited for incoming barrage of animation.I'm really digging this trend of animators taking more direct control over what they release. Thanks for the possibilities, internet!

Bravest Warriors - Ultra Wankersim (Episode 10)

God dammit, it's impossible for me to see an episode of Bravest Warriors with Catbug without acting like a 14-year-old girl. He's just so f*cking cute. While this newest episode felt a tad bit slower compared to previous entries, it definitely looks like Pendleton Ward and crew are pushing the series into some interesting terrain. I personally can't wait to find out what the hell the series has in store for us, the ongoing side plot is shaping up rather nicely, and it'd be nice to see Chris to step out of the friendzone.

What's even more surprsing is the preview for the series finale titled "Catbug". Holy shit. There's an entire episode revolving around Catbug you guys. Guys. Guys. This is huge you guys. Catbug is getting he's own episode. I can't even handle this right now.

Bravest Warriors Brings Forth The Friendzone (Episode 9)

I always feel awful when I miss the release of a new episode of Bravest Warriors, but here we are again! Episode 9 hit the internet last Thursday and it's filled to the brim with jokes and friend zones. I'm actually really excited to see where this series heads, as each episode seems to imply something big is on the way. Even if the series ends up mostly shorts, I really do appreciate the side story being developed throughout each episode.

Bravest Warriors - Gas Powered Stick (Ep. 7)

I'm completely in love with Pendleton Ward's webseries, Bravest Warriors and it's ability to get progressively better with every episode. The newest episode, Gas Powered Stick, is just as ridiculous as the title implies but underneath all of the episodes silliness is an interesting subplot that has a lot of potential to grow. If there's one thing I'm certain of though, the series is now in dire need of as much Catbug and Imposibear as Pen Ward can fit into one episode.

Bravest Warriors - Lavarinth (Episode 6)

I feel rather silly, for some reason I thought I was kind enough to share Pendleton Ward's (the incredible cartoonist behind Adventure Time) web-series, Bravest Warriors. Looking back on previous posts it looks like it completely escaped the website, so instead of posting the first episode, I'm posting the most recent! To be honest, felt that the series was off to a bit of a slow start, but the more I've watched it, the more I've fallen in love with it. Pen Ward has an amazing knack for creating some of the most original and likeable cartoon characters in Western animation, and being given the ability add a little bit more of a mature flavor to his animations really livens things up.

If you haven't a gotten a chance to check out the series, I suggest you make your way over to the YouTube channel and start from episode 1.

Adventure Time - Punch Your Buns

It's that time of night where nearly everything is funnier than it should be but this song might take the cake. Seriously, I've been listening to this song on repeat for well over an hour and not a single play-through has passed where I haven't at least giggled to myself. RydenRidge has made a truly awesome remix for one of my favorite Adventure Time moments. The least I can do for you is provide a download link right here.

Punch-uh yo' buns, Punch all yo' buns. Also, bonus round for RydenRidge's newest Adventure Time remix, Bacon Pancakes

Adventure Time Presents: Pokemon Fart Joke 101

The creators of Adventure Time did a parody of Pokemon! And it's pretty cute for a massive 2 minute fart joke.

Featuring the voice of 'Lumpy Space Princess' (and Adventure Time creator) Pendleton Ward and artist/animator Natasha Allegri, this cartoon should give you a smile to end your evening with. Or some advice for a rainy day.

Live Action Adventure Time

CorridorDigital is back, this time with more Adventure Time than ever. For a live action short, I couldn't ask for anything better. After the live action Ben 10 movie, I won't be surprised to see something like this hitting cable television in the near future.

30 Days Of Adventure Time (More Like 36)

In a strange turn of events, Adventure Time happens to be one of my favorite cartoons ever. WHAT A SURPRISE! If the immense level of sarcasm hasn't turned you away, you're in luck, because artist, Mike Jwitz, has done something amazing.

For 30 days straight, Mike took it upon himself to create a fantastic set of Adventure Time portraits, all with enough quality to hang around your house (you might seem a little weird if you use all of them). Even though it ended up being 36 days(can't complain), this set is amazing.

Hit the jump for the full set! Also, check out Mike's tumblr!
