Ad Collective Volume IV : PES, 10DEEP,Beeple, Greenpeace

Ad Collective is a weekly spotlight on creative advertising projects that push the creative envelope. We're not talking mind grating, generic commercials for car insurance and laundry detergent here, rather a spotlight on individuals trying to elevate the art of advertising into more of an art form rather than an exercise in playing it safe and taking no risks.

This week's advertising campaigns, in order:
  • PES just created an animated title sequence for the Dutch educational TV show called Het Klokhuis (Apple Core), a program running since 1988. Using his signature stop motion style, the show features a few fun interpretations of the shows logo.
  • Directorial duo PEN$ACOLA (Pau Dalmases & Pau Suris) created this awesome ad for the NYC street wear brand known as 10Deep, turning the urban jungle into a series of kaleidoscopic vignettes.
  • Beeple (Mike Winkleman) showcased his 80's design prowess, creating a flurry of retro, open source visuals using Cinema4D and the retrowave musical prowess of Com Truise and other electro artists.
  • THIS IS Studio was commissioned by Greenpeace to create an animation to summarize the impact of lobbies on the British fishing industry. Created using a cutout style, the animation makes a compelling case against overfishing.
