Myanmar Idents Montage

From the same Hong Kong based studio that bought us that interesting music video for Kinky last year, the Lab VIII collective has been executing some truly interesting projects globally. This supercut of idents were created as part of a rebranding effort for Burma's Myanmar TV International, and it does a wonderful job showing off slice of life moments from around the country. Simple, effective, to the point.

Arnold Schwarzenegger Kills Everything

In this supercut to end all super cuts, Youtube user Auralnauts created this amazing ode to the one and only Governator. Kill Count serves as both a chronicle of every kill captured in the course of 24 movies as well as unintentionally showcasing the evolution of his Austrio-American accent. Check out the rules that they came up with for this 30 minute cinematic epic below.

THE RULES
1. Guns, blades and projectiles always kill unless otherwise depicted
2. Close proximity explosions kill unless otherwise depicted
3. Indirect kills as a result of an explicit action by Arnold count
4. Kills must occur on screen, or be reasonably indicated through on screen action
5. Dream sequences, fantasies or movies within a movie count. If it's on screen, it's a kill.
6. People that are killed more than once count each time.
7. We don't care what Mossberg says in T2. They didn't show that many.
8. Everything up to Escape Plan. Nothing unavailable on Bluray.

The Hollywood Bleep-Bloop Supercut And Beyond

Created by the folks at Slacktory and Eclectic Method, these supercuts features an entire compilation of Hollywood's typically ridiculous, exaggerated treatments of people interacting with computers. Wouldn't it be annoying if your PC made sound effects every time you typed something or moved your mouse? As a bonus, similarly crafted odes to Mainframes and Hackers after the break!

The "Back To The Camera" Supercut

Plot Point Productions created this awesome supercut to demonstrate a cinematic technique used to offer viewers a glance of the world through the eyes of the character on screen, typically employed during pivotal moments in movies. Featuring over one hundred movies, it's a truly inspiring collage of memorable moments, settings and characters extrapolated from four decades of cinema. Wonderful.

Breaking The 4th Wall Movie Supercut

At times completely clever, at times unintentional, 4th Wall moments in movies represent moments in which the boundary between the movie world and the audience is shattered, typically for comedic or dramatic effect. Vimeo user Leigh Singer compiled examples of this effect from 54 different movies in this fantastically crafted montage.

'A compilation of scenes and moments from films that all 'break the fourth wall' - that is, acknowledge (usually directly to the camera, and therefore the audience) that they're part of a movie. The term comes from the imaginary wall at the front of the stage in a traditional three-walled box set in a theater, through which the audience sees the action in the world of the play.

The montage includes 54 different films (some used more than once) from perhaps the very first example of breaking the fourth wall right up to today.'
