By Your Side - Commemorating Fukushima
Today, Japan commemorates the 3 year anniversary of the Fukushima nuclear disaster, which was triggered by the TÅhoku offshore earthquake and tsunami. It kind of seems like yesterday, but the March 11, 2011 tragedy is still affecting people today, especially those displaced by the event as well as those who lost family and friends.
Director Tsuneo Goda alongside studio Dwarf just completed this stop motion tribute to Fukushima titled By Your Side, which offers an encouraging tale of support. This music video is promoted by the Zapuni association, which has been taking strides to help the children of Fukushima cope through the power of music. Check out another beautiful collab they did called Blossom after the break!

A.Skillz & Krafty Kuts - 50 Years of James Bond Mini Mix
You might not be aware, but 2012 marks 50 years of James Bond movies. As a result of this fifty year anniversary, the internet has been flooded with supercuts and remixes of the best moments in the franchise, but none quite as good as this one. This mix according to it's creators, features the 'best James Bond music, all the best James Bond scenes and all the best James Bond quotes. Girls, cars, suits, guns, action and music; this video represents all that is great about James Bond.'
You can download the Bond flavored mix on Soundcloud. Shame that they left out Garbage's World Is Not Enough theme song, that was one of my all time favorites. Oh well.

The LEGO® Story
In honor of the 80th anniversary of Lego (1932-2012), the company has released an awesome little look back at the history, and humble beginnings of the company as a carpentry business. The CG animated retelling of the companies history goes into the idea of a carpenter called Ole Kirk Christiansen, who spun a wooden toy idea into the famous interlocking brick business millions have come to love.
It's an amazing story of a man with an ambition, who one day took the Danish phrase 'Leg Godt,' which meant 'Play well' and created the famous company name (It also means 'I put together' in Latin).
If you've ever loved the plastic bricks, you'll love hearing about how this company came to be, especially when it came to Ole's uncompromising standards when it came to quality. The story spans 3 generations, and features a narration from the perspective of the latest generation of the Christiansen line.
