In a rather funny turn of events, the Singapore division of Microsoft just recently released a commissioned anime (With Studio Cacani) featuring a heroine based off of the beleaguered Internet Explorer browser, which has lost plenty of ground over the years against staunch competition from Mozilla Firefox, Chrome and other browsers.
Starring heroine Inori Aizawa facing off against malware creatures in an apocalyptic setting (Which we're guessing is a representation of the current state of the IE community), her transformation is supposed to indicate the positive transformation that the browser has had over the years. Nonetheless it does come off as a clever way to market to a younger generation unacquainted with using the browser.
