With the advent of 3D printing, it was inevitable that the technology would at some point be used for the wrong purposes, like printing guns illegally. 24 year old Cody R.Wilson figured out how to print a semi-automatic rifle using CAD files, and has been sharing his information online for anyone else to create untraceable weapons from the comfort of their own home.

This could ruin the entire potential of 3D printing to be used to improve society and for creative purposes, because the second lawmakers catch on to this man's actions, we as the general public might end up losing the ability to have unrestricted access to high end 3D printers, period. As intelligent as Cody R. Wilson seems, it's a shame that he's put his talents to poor use in my opinion.
