Kyary Pamyu Pamyu - "Urisodeshon"

Upon pressing play on Kyary Pamyu Pamyu's new music video, I fell into a bizarre trance state, mesmerized by the bizarrely glittery visuals, sugary sounding electropop and her strange 'Kawaisa' based style (Cute-core) based off of Harajuku niche trends.

Kiriko Takemura, full stage name 'Caroline Charonplop Kyary Pamyu Pamyu' *gasp* has had quite the explosive rise, riding a viral wave since her debut single 'PonPonPon' exploded on an international scale. Filled with acid trip/rainbow vomit visuals, we were mesmerized by just about every damn aspect of the ungodly (Yet strangely enjoyable) music video, which featured cameos of Spongebob and Kraft Macaroni & Cheese, I kid you not.

The new music video features Kyaru celebrating her 20th birthday (Japanese legal drinking age too!) in a strangely Alice In Wonderland mad tea party setting, complete with colors reminiscent of the Queen of Hearts. With some of the most bizarre choreography I've seen in ages, including a full 3 minute sitting dance and highly enjoyable finger gun sequence, this artist is quite possibly the closest we've gotten as a race so far in terms of visual drugs. Happy Birthday Kyary.
