Minecraft Mobile Is A Reality!

We all love Minecraft on this site, but I wanted to carry it around, play it on the bus and onthe way to work. But until now that was a dream.
Not any more. Minecraft Mobile is a reality!

Minecraft is the indie-developed block-building game that’s taken the PC and Mac gaming world by storm. A “sandbox” game which lets you build whatever you can think of out of textured cubes, Minecraft is finally making its way to the mobile device market. But you'll be surprised on what device it has been announced for.

This picture, from the official twitter feed, was soon taken down. Because it's that cool.
Whilst he confirmed that they are working on the iOS version, Minecraft developer Mojang confirmed the game will début on the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play - AKA the “PlayStation Phone.” The Xperia Play version of Minecraft will feature customized controls for the system's PlayStation-styled slide-out buttons, the company said.

Don't own a Xperia, or a Iphone? Mojang is also developing versions of the title for other Android phones, and said the smartphone versions of the game will be tweaked slightly to deal with the vagaries of the new platform. I still want a 3DS version, that thing would look beautiful. The $199 (with contract), Android-2.3-powered Xperia Play launches in the U.S. this week exclusively on Verizon Wireless with six pre-loaded titles, after an April release in Europe.

I'm excited. Why not play on the Awesome-Robo Minecraft Server whilst you wait?
