Despite the general public despising Final Fantasy XIII's horribly linear game, you still bought it. You bought it so much Square Enix decided it would be a good idea to make three more. While two of the titles, Final Fantasy Versus XIII and Final Fantasy Agito XIII (now named Final Fantasy Type-0) were already known, Square Enix also announced Final Fantasy XIII-2 on Tuesday. Is this a good thing? Probably not, but we can at least pretend it will be until it comes out.
While Final Fantasy XIII was beautiful, the gameplay didn't leave a great taste in my mouth, it actually didn't leave any taste. After putting so much effort into their engine the team forgot to add the gameplay, so instead of the enthralling Final Fantasy experience I was expecting I was given a leash and dragged around like an abused puppy. Typical to all Square Enix announcements not much information was given other than a couple trailers. Stay tuned for more information.
