Vendredi - "Chiara"

Witness the primal struggle of a tribal and spiritual society first hand in this newest music video from French electro outfit Vendredi. We witness a female protagonist that really reminded us of a live action reincarnation of Princess Mononoke as she goes about exploring the strange and supernatural world around her.

The Ghibli reference comes from the clues dropped around this music video: The hints of supernatural entities surrounding her, the fear and hatred of other humans that we witness, the appearance of massive spirit wolves that always seem to be close by. Understated from a musical perspective, but quite violent during a few choice scenes. Directed by Matthias Jenny & Koya Kamura.

Vesper

Loved this heavily FX driven short by Olof Storm, which chronicles the daily routine of a supernatural entity known as the Vesper, also known as the evening star. His actions are mysterious to us, but a familiar routine to him. Shifting day to night, bringing the stars into the skies with definite intention. If you've evern enjoyed Avatar - The Last Airbender, there's a lot to love here.

The Supernatural Artwork of Rodrigo Luff

(Via)
'Jaundice' was the word that came to mind when I first saw 26-year old Rodrigo Luff's stunningly beautiful moleskin portraits.  A graduate of the Julian Ashton Art School, Rodrigo has hosted a number of successful exhibitions both in LA and his native home of Sydney, Australia. His latest series of paintings, Neon Forest, depicts the symbiotic relationship between between beautiful female subjects and the indomitable forces of the natural world. Check out more of Rodrigo's awesome paintings after the break!

The Breathtaking Artwork of Artem Cheboha

(Via)
Through his artwork, Artem Cheboha conjures up preternaturally calming dreamscapes, host to a supernatural realm of idyllic vistas, surreal landscapes and whimsically disarming oddities.

Hunchbacks and stingrays soaring across sunsets and cavernous cloud formations, dirigibles bobbing beside mountain oases floating mid-air, suspending both gravity and disbelief. Crooning jack-o-lantern's materializing out of a storm.

Every piece of Artem's work is stamped with an undeniable feeling of levity, a freedom and weightlessness that comes only through the suspension of one's disbelief. Check more of his beautiful work after the break.

The Art of Alex Konstad

(Via)

Alex Konstad is an aspiring concept artist whose digital paintings are populated by colorful host of menacing creatures and colorfully abstract pop-culture. A freelancer based out of California and student of the prestigious TAD Concept Art Program, Konstad’s keen eye for composition and flair of humor is apparent through all his work. That Blender patrol-mech is hilarious and I can't decide which one his many works are my personal favorite, the Abe's Awakening portrait with smoke-stacked chimneys or the cubist re-interpretation of EVA Unit-01. I'd keep my eye out for this guy.
