The Character Art of Warashiz

(via)
Not much can be found in terms of info for the Japanese artist, Warashiz, but what can be found is an amazing assortment of character portraits. With part cyberpunk and part pure punk style, Warashiz's collection of characters is a damn awesome thing. Made up almost entirely of female characters, Warashiz's style, while unique, holds a vibe similar to that Jamie Hewlett's Tank Girl with a bit of Masamune Shirow's Ghost in the Shell tossed in for good measure.

If you're in need of a little inspiration to get you the motivation needed to keep up the art Warashiz's pixiv, is an awesome evolution of their style and artist ability. Starting from a relatively limited color palette to the bright and colorful work found in this post, Warashiz has grown immensely as an artist. After the break is more of Warashiz's work, take a peek!

The Supernatural Artwork of Rodrigo Luff

(Via)
'Jaundice' was the word that came to mind when I first saw 26-year old Rodrigo Luff's stunningly beautiful moleskin portraits.  A graduate of the Julian Ashton Art School, Rodrigo has hosted a number of successful exhibitions both in LA and his native home of Sydney, Australia. His latest series of paintings, Neon Forest, depicts the symbiotic relationship between between beautiful female subjects and the indomitable forces of the natural world. Check out more of Rodrigo's awesome paintings after the break!

The Art Of Erik Jones

(Via)
Erik Jones has been making waves in the contemporary art scene with his glitched out portrait works, rendered out with traditional mediums including acrylics, oils, colored pencils, pastels and more. Typically featuring females encased in a series of highly abstracted, angular shapes, his pieces provide a pleasant contrast between chaos and harmony, soft and sharp.

Erik just recently exhibited at the renown Spoke Art gallery, and will be featured in next month's issue of Hi-Fructose..2013 is shaping up to be quite the break out year for Mr. Jones. Check out more of his awesome work after the break!

The Vivid Portraits Of Francoise Nielly

(Via)
Francoise Nielly is a French painter that specializes in bright, neon color portraits with a definite street art vibe. Her incredible range of work also serves as a sort of documentary on her evolution in technique and color development. Francoise's paintings are done with a palette knife and oil on canvas, so none of the images displayed here are digitally manufactured in any way or form. What I really enjoyed the most about her work is the energy her paints irradiate, reminiscent of graffiti and high level street art work that I suppose has to do with the vivid color combinations she uses.

After the break, a small batch of the impressive works Madame Nielly has created over the years in the form of oil over canvas. Enjoy!

WATERCOLOR PORTRAITS BY MARION BOLOGNESI

Remember (Via)
Marion Bolognesi is a New York based illustrator who spends her time between fashion/accessory design and her passion for watercolor painting, which truly shows in her body of work. What I like the most about Marion's portraits is her use of negative space, rendering out only striking features combined with lush, bleeding colors that represent exotic make up.

That aspect alone is strong enough to convey completeness and character to the faces depicted, the mind fills in the rest of the face. After the break, check out a small collection of Bolognesi's watercolor portraits. Enjoy!
