3A's Invincible Iron Man Toys Are Looking Incredible (Wallet Damage Incoming)

(Via)
Ashley Wood just shared production release photos of 3A's Invincible Iron Man, just the first in an ongoing collaboration with Marvel that will bring us unique takes on characters including Doctor Doom, Ultron, Spiderman, Thor and others over the next few years. Standing at 13.5 inches, the fully posable metal and PVC figure will feature illuminated eyes, chest and palms and ship sometime in Q3 2014.

Taste the limited palette rainbow.
Pricing wise these figures wil run for $220 a pop, with 4 variants- Classic, Silver Centurion, Stealth and the Stark Industries Prototype, which will only be available to members of the 3AA club (A yearly subscription for exclusives and other goodies). If you've got the money to burn, you can get a boxed set featuring all 4 for $800, without needing to be a 3AA member to get the 4th Stark Industries prototype figure.

As a proud owner of a few 3A toys, the craftsmanship on these 'toys' is so high that I prefer to consider them as fine art sculptures. Once you get one you'll never buy another toy again. The item will be available for preorder on February 13th at 9am Hong Kong Time (5pm PST, 7pm CST, 9pm EST) at the newly redesigned Bambaland Store. A boatload of shots from all the different variants after the break!

3A Shows Off Invincible Ironman Prototype Toy

(Via)
I'm not even the biggest Iron Man fan, but leave it to Ashley Wood and his amazing 3A Toy team to turn me into a believer. Approached by Marvel to do his own take on an Iron Man themed toy, Ashley was given cart blanche to do his own interpretation of their property, as well as handing his company the rights to Doctor Doom, Ultron and Spiderman, as well as other as of yet unannounced characters.

No word on the scale or details yet, but based off my experience I'm guessing it'll be a 1/6 scale with a buttload of articulation, awesome light up features throughout and a price point of about $200-300. Start saving up! More shorts of this awesome proto right after the break!

Maschinen Krieger By 3A

(Via)
The most recent development for wallet breaking toys comes in the form of the upcoming Kow Yokoyama/3A toys collab, featuring a 'Krote' mech from the fantastic Maschinen Krieger universe. The figures will supposedly be created in 1/6 and 1/12 scale, at a yet TBD price.

I'm guessing it'll run for $300 up, considering the typical past prices of mechs from the company. It's been amazing to see 3A gain all kinds of new partnerships as of late, ranging from Halo to 2000AD. Check out more images of this kitbashed beauty after the break!

ThreeA's Incredible Blind Cowboy & Ghost Horse Set

What do you get when you pay $270 for a high end Blind Cowboy set from ThreeA toys? Nothing short of an absolutely jawdropping, mind bogglingly detailed 'toy' that would be worthy of displaying in a museum. I decided to purchase the Blind Cowboy & Ghost Horse set because as some of you might know, we moved to Austin, Texas recently to pursue greener pastures..As a trophy of sorts for getting a dream job.

Even the box is beautiful.
I was blown away by how large Ghost Horse and the Blind Cowboy were, which ended up being about 50% bigger than I had expected. I also wasn't expecting it to be so incredibly detailed, with the horse taking the cake with its miniaturized stitched saddle and tiny, functioning buckles holding its various saddle bags and other supplies. I honestly wasn't sure at first if it was going to be worth the money I put into it, but I now understand why ThreeA has such a loyal following. These are not mere toys, but a labor of love created with a level of craftsmanship I've never seen attained before...It seriously blew my mind how beautiful this things was, even the packaging! Check out more images from the set after the break.

Ashley Wood's ThreeA Toys Pays Tribute To Steve Jobs

In case you haven't heard of 3A toys, you've been missing out..If you've got deep pockets to collect this type of stuff. Run by the pretty famous comic book artist/illustrator Ashley Wood, (who possesses an expressionist art style that is unlike anything we've ever seen) 3A makes high end, designer toys based off Ashley Wood's properties.

The figures are typically 1/6th scale, insanely articulated and usually retail for $200 up as well as typically being released in limited runs. This pretty much means these bad boys sell out instantly. For the most recent 1/6th scale line (For the bots called 'Caesar' from Ashley's World War Robot line), one of the 'secret' robot designs pays tribute to Apple's former visionary, Steve Jobs..Pretty cool in our book. If you want to attempt to get your hands on one of these massive figures, you can try your luck at 9am Hong Kong time on September 14th on the Bambaland store. Check out the rest of the variants after the break!
