Tiny Nomad offers us a really cool adventure into the world of a mouse venturing through a treacherous desert filled with many perils: Unrelenting heat, thirst, monstrous scorpions and more. Through a hallucination induced by heat, the nomad mouse relives all the incredible adventures, people encountered and other experiences that shaped him into his current self.
Animator Toniko Pantoja did an absolutely amazing job with the animation, imbuing the characters with a really fantastic sense of weight and character. He also achieved a pretty epic, emotional narrative within a very short time frame, which was really impressive. Probably one of the best fourth year shorts we've seen yet overall from the fourth year class at Calarts. Pantoja also created Crayon Dragon, which captured our imaginations back in 2012.
