Plasticine Rythm And More Claymation Goodness By Andy Martin

There's something inherently retro about the look of plasticine animation, that greasy modeling clay that used to be a staple of claymation back in the day, but not so much anymore. Andy Martin begs to differ, having created a series of animations using the malleable clay. Plasticine Rythm is a musical piece using pieces of clay like buttons of a synthesizer to create a fun beat.

I Am A.. (After the break) involves an ever evolving clay rabbit being manipulated by the likes of an artist into a variety of different forms.

You sit down to have your portrait painted, but who are you? What is the image you want to project? How will the artist manipulate it? Are you a rabbit? You might be a vampire! You're probably a duck...
