Created by Yamiken Hori (The alias for Takahide Hori) as an extensive personal project that's been in the works for over 4 years. With a creative background in marionette and doll making, he crafted an extensive world with grungy, monolithic landscapes that reminded me of the cavernous, greebly tech-scapes in Tsutomu Nihei's Blame! series.
With a plan to hopefully find some people to invest in the future sequels for Junk Head by crowd sourcing or through other means, Hori hopes to quit his job and focus on filmmaking fulltime. Our hats go off to him for this amazing project, as it's easy to tell that it was a labor of love from start to finish. Here's to hoping the Junk Head Kickstarter pops up sometime soon
