I just love it when music videos have strong narrative elements to them, and director Pooya Abbasian's take on the Berlin based indie rocker outfit's Monsters track stands strong as both an animated short and a music video instead of just a visual accompaniment. The track follows a female traversing the landscapes of her disturbed mind, inhabited by dark creatures representing her fear, anxiety and so on.
This is the story of Abby, an isolated girl who has been submerged in the world of her own turmoil and paranoia, where the line between reality and nightmare is growing thinner and thinner.
