Arcade Fire turns the mirror on the internet era of music, offering some rather sharp commentary on how most bands are simply reflections of each other in Reflektor, especially in the lyrics of 'Alone on the stage/in the reflective age,' a rather dark sentiment from lead singer Win Butler, which isn't necessarily untrue.
A lot of symbolism present in the music video, including a coffin decorated with broken CD's (The end of analog formats?), a man made out of mirrors living in a mirror house, the paper machie approximations of the band staring into the water like in Caravaggio's 'Narcissus,' and other layers of hidden meaning in this monochromatic video.
