The Art Of Adrian Dadich

(Via)
Adrian Dadich is an up and coming Aussie illustrator and concept artist who's been making waves with his awesome cyberpunk flavored pieces, channeling the familiar melting pot style of east-meets-west flavors with definite call outs to artists like Tsutomu Nihei (Blame!) and Hiroki Endo's (Eden) scifi works. There's been quite a bit of talent migrating to the US from the Australian continent lately, with the likes of Mr. Jack, Richard Lyons, Fightpunch taking on high level conceptual positions at game companies as of late. I wouldn't be surprised if Dadich follows suit soon, considering Australia's currently anemic game industry.

There's a ton of personality in each of his designs, riddled with a plethora of little details, cybernetic attachments and robot companions that give each of his characters a distinct flavor, mixed with a really clean rendering style splashed with plenty of primary, bright colors. Personally I've come to appreciate a more colorful style of scifi over the years, considering the glut of desaturated takes on scifi media we've been bombarded with over the last few years. Adrian's take sticks out from the crowd as refreshing and novel thanks to these choices, and I'm really looking forward to seeing what else he comes up with over the next few years. More of his work after the break!
