The Art Of Roman Noir

Going by the stage name of Roman Noir, Bastien Lecouffe Deharme is a French illustrator currently based out of Ohio with a knack for scifi, cyberpunk and dark fantasy genres as his subject matter. Employing an illustrative, painterly approach to his pieces, each of them employ a dark surrealist style similar to that of Canadian artist Jeff Simpson.

Bastien is currently a fulltime freelancer, having had a chance to create book covers for famous authors including Phillip K. Dick, Clive Barker and even H.P. Lovecraftm as well as occupying himself with graphic novel projects and art exhibitions while jumping between the US and Paris. Check out more of his dark illustrations after the break!
