Daniel Krall is a Baltimore based illustrator who caught our eye with his wonderfully retro tinged illustrations, inspired by traditional French comics and technicolor tinted schemes, executed using watercolor, gouache, acrylics and pixels. Evoking a bygone era of editorial illustration, his pieces retain a nostalgic and strangely uplifting feel to them, like his 'Tony Stark as Walt Disney' illustration above.
Over his career Krall has had the chance to work with a large slew of clients including Wired, The New Yorker, British GQ, McSweeneys, Oxford University Press, Business Week, Details, The New York Times and many more. Check out more of his awesome illustration work after the break!
