Created by Melbourne-based production team Betty Wants In, 'By The Lake, Tasmania' is the simple docu-short about an older man living in scenic serenity near a lake in Tasmania (also known colloquially as 'Tassie'). While he briefly recounts a story about fishing in his boyhood, the real draw is the imagery.
Nature shots are certainly a dime a dozen, but this one here really moved me. Everything about this just screams (or rather, whispers) a sense of calm, relaxation, and natural, awe-inspiring beauty. Even if you can't get away to some remote location this weekend, this short film is definitely something to chill out to.
