Collage is a style we rarely run intoduring this modern era of digital painting, 3D and flash animation, but Botjira (Anonymous) is one of those young artists that still embraces it. Using a mixture of heavy stock paper, good old scissors & glue and a touch of watercolor and acrylic, Botjira crafts some modern tributes to videogame characters, with a specific affinity for Valve's stable of franchises.
Despite the awesome source material, there's still something incredibly old school about the execution, probably because it reminds me of how prevalent the style was with editorial illustration during the late 90's. Nonetheless, this work kicks ass. Check out more of the collage masters work after the break!
