Matias Heinecke is a Canadian designer and illustrator based out of Toronto, with a slick style mixing old school and new school animation aesthetics with a conceptual edge. Heavily design oriented versus filling his images with needless detail, every plane, stroke and shadow intentionally placed to help his bold designs shine.

What's not to love? His fluid poses mixed with his chunky, planar painting style, his concepts are truly a thing to behold. I'd love to see Matias be placed in charge of art directing a videogame project to see what type of visual language he'd come up with, I think it would be a welcome change of pace from what we're typically used to.
