The Shining Gets The Toy Story Treatment

These toys want to be played with forever and ever..(Via)

The idea that these two franchises could be mixed together is strange, but not only do they work, these storyboards show a creepy parallel between one of the most famous horror stories of all time and one of my favourite franchises of all time; The Shining and Toy Story. The story began when artist Kyle Lambert began following Lee Unkrich, the director of Toy Story 3) on Twitter (@leeunkrich) and discovered Lee's passion of Stanley Kubrick, ultimately leading to Lambert embarking on creating one of the strangest mashups of the Shining I've ever seen. These pieces are not only well drawn and entertaining, but they were also all painted on the iPad to boot.
