Syndicate Returns: Feat. Skrillex

If you grew up in the nineties, there's a small chance you played Bullfrog Games' Syndicate and its 1996 sequel: Syndicate Wars, a classic Scifi series from back in the day. The premise was simple: In the future, corporations use kidnapped humans, brainwashed and technologically modified to carry out missions to further the interests of their organizations. The games did really well at the time, so it kind of surprised me that it never got a proper followup or reboot... Until now.

The trailer for the new game seems pretty awesome, but it looks like the game will revolve around the actions of a sole agent instead of the tactical, squad based gameplay present in the last two titles.  On a side note, looks like Skrillex has gone full blown mainstream considering his scoring of this trailer, and recent collaboration with Korn. Didn't even know they were still around. The game has a tentative release date of Feb. 2012, and we're keeping our fingers crossed that EA will maintain a tactical feel that made the originals so engrossing. Check out the released box art after the break!
