Mr. Shabba is the alias for the UK based illustrator/graphic designer called Dean Walton..His approach to his tribute posters revolve around minimalism, showcasing the bare minimum while also successfully conveying the most successful, memorable elements of each movie. His approach involves mixed media, using acryclics to create the painterly look before scanning it on the pc and finishing it off with adjustments and typography.
I just love how he works with silhouettes and the spaces inside them to tell a story with each poster. Check out eight more examples of his movie poster work after the break! Lovely stuff.
