The Day Wonderland Stood Still

Inspired by a mixture of the visually striking Nibirian Jungle scene in Star Trek - Into Darkness and the Empty America Series, Bruce W. Berry set out to create a visual diary of a land cast into strangely serene, post apocalytic desolation. The 'red tree' effect is the result of using infrared photography, a practice that has allowed certain artists to create some truly striking pieces, like Richard Mosses surreal Infra series, which captured child soldiers in the Congo amidst seemingly pink and red vegetation.

Applying the same techniques to video, the city of Philadelphia is turned into an alien landscape, devoid of any life other than the idyllic movements of nature. Hauntingly beautiful.

The Vectorized Portraits Of Cranio Design

Wolf (Via)
Cranio Design is the artistic outlet for Alejandro Garcia, a Valencia (Spain) based illustrator with a vector based flair. His pieces tend to be heavy on the symmetry, yet his usage of portrait style shots and striking color choices make his work hard to look away from.

Alejandro has also experimented with a variety of mediums, including papercraft, logos and toy design. Check out more of his work after the break!

Locomotive Place Des Arts

This bizarre video mosaic setup is a current work in progress at the Place Des Arts in Quebec. The entire premise of this installation is to showcase the human body as a machine, a patchwork of flesh all working in harmony synchronized with music.
