Skyrim Theme by Peter Hollens & Lindsey Stirling

We love a good cover song, and this Skyrim theme cover is no exception. With vocals by Peter Hollens, and violin by Lindsey Stirling, together they came up with a pretty awesome piece. They definitely capture that big battle, epic feel, along with a full-out music video. The video is fun, if maybe a tad on the campy side, but I think with a song like this, it kind of has to be.

Mimi Page - Dovahkiin Cover

Mimi Page, an emerging singer-songwriter, has come out with an awesome cover of Skyrim's Dovohkiin.  It's a really beautiful, ethereal cover, one that's super relaxing to listen to.  Her style is self-described as down-tempo electronic, dream pop. And dreamy, it definitely is. Take a look at her Youtube page for more of her amazing work, or over at her website. Her debut album will be released tomorrow, February 14th!

Skyrim Gets Some 'Brony' Action

I'm still not quite sure how My Little Pony became as popular as it did (the 'brony' culture still creeps me the f*ck out. Not so much the people, but the art born from it). It's definitely a quality cartoon, but it never quite capture my attention like Regular Show and Adventure Time has. My Little Pony fan or not, this mod for Skyrim really shows you how awesome the Skyrim mod community is. If you thought Macho Man Randy Savage was a great addition to the land of Skyrim, then you haven't experienced the beauty of ponies raining destruction.

Skyrim's Macho Dragon Burning Down The House

Thank god for PC modding, because it results in absolutely bizarre, random sh** like this. Somebody out there had an epiphany to replace the dragons in Skyrim with a horribly deformed Randy Savage, aka the Macho Man. So prepare yourself for some WWE action in Bethesda's fantasy world, and snap into a Slim Jim while you're at it.

Skyrim: Unarmed Badass

I was holding off on Skyrim for a bit, while I waited for Christmas break to hit so I can dedicate my full attention to Bethesda's newest time sink. However, things changed since this video came out, featuring a Swedish guy narrating his quest (in awesome English) to be a badass with nothing but his fists. At that point it kind of became unbearable to not have the game and follow in this mans epic footsteps, punching the sh** out of everything and everyone. See for yourself.

Elder Scrolls Adventures

Skyrim. Big selling RPG. Anticipated sequel. Cartoon for Saturday mornings. This reimagining of the insanely immersive RPG as a Saturday morning cartoon from the '80s was created by the epic animator Harry Partridge, the genius behind the Watchmen saturday morning cartoon, American Akira and other pieces of brilliance. Whilst this video is aimed less at humour and more of showing his love towards the series. The clip is incredible, especially considering it reminds me of every show I saw as a kid. It also has dragons, of course.

The Song Of Skyrim

Harry Patridge, the fine UK animator behind classics like The American Akira returns with this brand new short about escaping mortal distractions and joining the epic battle for Skyrim. I'm convinced that Harry is a severely hardcore fan of the game, seeing that he created an equally epic animated, also musical short for the Skyrim teaser just a few months back.
