Fractured Soul - A 3DS Title That Will Fracture Your Brain

You have to applaud Endgame Studios for really trying to take advantage of the 3DS's dual screen rather than treating it as a gimmick, opting to deliver a truly fresh experience. If you've ever been fortunate (Or unfortunate) enough to experience Ikaruga, which revolved around a dual sided ship switching colors to absorb different colored projectiles, this premise might seem familiar.

Fractured Soul takes that concept to the next level with one hero and his alternate dimension counterpart progressing through levels, with an awesome looking screen switching mechanic. The result is frantic looking, but I'm sold on the concept. Time to dust off that 3DS! You can get it on the Eshop for $12.

Max Cooper - Echoes Reality 4D

This mind bending music video is filled with so much optical illusion that its nothing short of mind blowing. 4D cubes, hypercubes and other objects and patterns that are simply hard to accept as possible are all presented to ask a simple question by Max Cooper: Are we sticking to 3 dimensions as a matter of conditioning, or is it possible to broaden our horizons and accept the possibility of many other dimensions existing in this same reality? Its a question that throws science out the window, but is nonetheless an interesting issue to ponder.

Osaka City Station Water Fountain

All I can say after watching this is...Why haven't more cities installed these awesome water fountains? I had no idea that water fountains could turn into displays like that, showing off patterns, text and the time of day with such clarity. This display is present at one of the largest train stations in Osaka, north of Tokyo.

Mind Bending Gunfight

The concept behind this video needs to be turned into a videogame. The idea of being able to layer different versions of yourself doing multiple actions in order to achieve a common goal (In this instance, taking out all other versions of the ohter guy) is a really neat concept. I had to watch this about 3-4 times to understand all the concepts presented, but the idea behind this video is truly awesome.

Dimension Bomb By Koji Morimoto

Continuing with our mission to expose everyone to all the Genius Party shorts, featuring the works of some of the most successful and celebrated anime directors and artists of their time...Here is a trailer for Dimension Bomb, a visually striking short by Koji Morimoto (Memories, Tekkonkingreet, Macross Plus) about a girl who unleashes something terrible by summoning a boy from another dimension for her own amusement. The colorful style, the beautiful animation and surreal, at times abstract imagery left an impression.

Its fascinating that every piece of information that we know can be accessed while being sent through that one tiny pipeline.  Isn't technology beautiful?
