Game Of Thrones Action Figures By Mick Minogue

As part of the Winter Is Coming art show at the Ltd. Art Gallery in Seattle (Running until March 23), over 90 pieces are currently being displayed by an international group of artists with their own takes on George R.R. Martin's Game of Thrones.

While most people opted for illustrations in both digital and analog mediums, Mick Minogue truly went out of the box with this one, creating a fictional action figure line of some of the more memorable faces in the series. From the now one handed Jamie Lannister to the 'minimalist' Ned Stark on a stick, I'd buy these in a heart beat. Check out the rest of them after the break!

The Faile Arcade

The Brooklyn based art duo called Faile have already done 2 separate pop-up arcades in the past, taking vintage cabinets, gutting them and reloading them with custom videogames and art. The goal of the duo is a mixture of a tribute to their own childhoods spent in dimly lit arcades as well as recreating that distinct atmosphere for a new generation to experience. This third installment of the Deluxx Fluxx arcade will be popping up in Miami from December 3-7.

It’s a connection for us to a time and a place. Not only to the games but the whole experience – the environment, the artwork, the lighting, the sense of losing yourself in this world.

Evangelion Exhibit is A Real Thing

If you don't already know, Neon Genesis Evangelion is my favorite thing period. The anime has been a strong part of my life since my early teens and has continued to captivate me with it's intriguing story and it's recent continuation of the Rebuild films. When the announcement that an Evangelion exhibit would hit Matsuya Ginza in Tokyo, Japan I almost sh*t myself with excitement, but I managed to hold it in. While I probably will never get a chance to visit myself, visitors have been more than willing to share their experience with the internet. It may not be as good as visiting in-person but it'll do for now!

The exhibit is the first large-scale Evangelion exhibit, showcasing over 1,300 items and over 300 pieces from the show and film's production. After the jump is an assortment of photos from the exhibit, giving a decently sized sneakpeak. That lifesize Ayanami Rei is absolutely beautiful looking and I would kill to get a firsthand look at some of the film's storyboard in person. Take a look and feel the need to visit for yourself!
