Jason Gamber's Disney Constructs

(Via)
Industrial design mixed with iconic Disney characters, such is the formula of Jason Gamber's distinct art style, which draws from a love of mechanical components, cross contours and crisp line art.

The Oregon based artist gained his love for his diagram-esque love of mechanical complexity in a rather funny manner: Owning cars that were lemons and dysfunctional, which resulted in him spending a lot of time reading through repair manuals. Throughout years of repairs and many unreliable vehicles he gave himself a challenge- Imbue this mechanical language with some emotion and movement, the unlikely beginning of a very unique art style. Check out more of his Disney characters and original pieces after the break!

Denis Andernach's architectural drawings

Library staircase. (Via)
Denis Andernach is a German artist whose work consists of Black & White ink rendered drawings of imagined constructions, landscapes and architectures. I'm especially fond of his illustrations as an architect myself, seeing the amount of detail and references thrown together in his mysterious, silent  and nearly monolithic buildings. There's a foreboding sense to his work, with angles and lighting conditions that truly create an unsettling feeling to his otherwise interesting designs.

Check out a selection of Denis' cabins, churches and buildings in the woods after the break!

THE IMPOSSIBLE CITYSCAPES OF VASCO MOURAO

Oh dear. (Via)
Vasco Mourao is a Portuguese artist, an obsessive one. His wicked cool illustrations revolve around architectural artifacts and impossible perspectives, taking a lot of time and thought in the details and ornaments.

As I was browsing his work, it kind of reminded me of the conceptual art done for Spirited away( Miyazaki's movie); fantastical structures rendered carefully as if constructing a catalogue of building techniques( not unlike some of Piranesi's work). After all, Vasco is an architect too. Check out more of his amazing, intricate work after the break!

Doodles Coming To Life

(Via)
I love drawings like this. Ones that combine real reality and fiction and looks good whilst doing it. Is this real life? Or is the doodle battle of Notepad beach during Paper War 1 all my imagination?
