While the arcade scene died out in the mid 90's for most of the world, the arcade scene in Japan has thrived resulting in an experience light years ahead of the rest. It's always been a bit of a bummer to see the social aspect of gaming deteriorate, especially with games like Gundam Extreme Vs Maxi Boost. The PS3/Arcade/Mobile multi-platform game looks absolutely f**king insane.
Following up with even more characters from the 2011 release of Gundam Extreme Vs. Maxi Boost totals at around 70 playable Gundams. Arcade players will be able to battle across the country, taking on different missions while mobile users offer support via their phones.
It's an insane experience and I bet you're chomping at the bit to give it a go (I can't blame you). Unfortunately, at this point you're better off learning Japanese and importing the PS3 version, because I can almost guarantee we'll never see local translations of this gaming behemoth. Maybe next time, am I right?
