In Australian animator Luke Randall's animated short 'Reach,' we have the combination of two themes going on, both classics in their own right: The toy-that-comes-to-life tale, and the story of the little guy who yearns for a greater life.
In such a short, dialogue-free video our protagonist toy robot displays a heartwarming amount of emotion with his pursuit of adventure. This was Randall's graduate film back when he was a student, and has now shared online. Randall is currently an LA-based animator who has worked on several films.
