TED : Embracing The Remix

Remember the 'Everything Is A Remix' series which we posted a while back? The series went into how everything is a derivation of something or the other, and that all inspiration begins from some other source material. It seems like his video series was a hit, as Kirby Ferguson went on to give a TED talk about how everyone from Steve Jobs to Bob Dylan all became as famous as they are by going off of someone else's work. It's a fascinating little talk that definitely opened up my eyes about the creative process.

It's kind of funny, because as we speak there's an Apple vs. Samsung lawsuit unfolding about the Galaxy series phones being too similar to the iPhone. If you think about it thought, isn't that the same process that Apple used to get to where they are now? By taking other tech and simply making it better? Food for thought.
