Secret Cinema Presents Prometheus

Damn am I jealous. Secret Cinema is a rather new, unique theatrical experience which is based out of the UK, and has spread to a few select locations in Europe like Berlin. The premise revolves around secrecy, with people buying tickets for an unknown movie, only to be moved to a location themed after the movie. In this case, a 195,000 square foot warehouse turned into a gigantic spaceship interior, replete with labs, and various themed bays to get people guessing which movie world they might be in. A slew of in character actors participate in the experience, handing tasks to attendees and guiding the event. All participants are given a few hours to roam the premises prior to an 'infection' alarm going off, with ship employees ushering everyone into screening rooms for Prometheus.

I mean seriously, that sounds pretty damn incredible. Who wouldn't want to be immersed in a movie prior to watching it? With a price point of 35 euros ($44), I'd totally give this a shot for trying to take the cinematic experience to the next level. These interactive, surprise movie events are coming to the US this fall, so stay tuned on the Secret Cinema website.
