What ARE You Planning Valve?

(Via)
Valve, I have things I should be doing right now. I'm working on artwork, waiting for emails and doing large amounts of tidying. You HAD to choose this time to release with another great gaming deal, and another possible ARG. That's right folks, the Potato Sack Returns!!

This time around, it's known as the Potato Sack Reunion. For $20, you get 1... 2... 3... KICK IT! (Drop That Beat Like an Ugly Baby), AaaaaAAaaaAAAaaAAAAaAAAAA!!! for the Awesome, Amnesia: The Dark Descent, AudioSurf, Bit.Trip Beat, Cogs, Defense Grid: The Awakening, Killing Floor, Rush, Super Meat Boy, The Ball, The Wonderful End of the World and Toki Tori. The package of games would cost over $77 if purchased individually. A good deal, no? There might be more to this, though if you don't know the history of the potato sack, then you don't know what rumours are flying around the internet...so find out more after the break!

For those who aren't in the know, Valve’s first screenshot of Portal 2 was revealed through an AR game following a mysterious update to the original game, which then lead to a campaign that would unlock the game a few hours early. This process involved playing games from the 'Potato Sack' pack and gaining all the different achievement potatoes. Each potato contributed to a meter that eventually lead to the early release of Portal 2. The other incentive was, of course, a fine and starchy Team Fortress 2 hat.

It isn't an update without a Team Fortress 2 item....
The promo concludes thursday at 4pm Pacific Time, which seems to coincide with more rumors of a large Team Fortress 2 update. All week, Valve have been updating with files that hint towards the long awaited and rumored Mann Vs Machine update, a long hinted game mode for TF2 involving a team going against a group of robots. One of the updates hinted at the date of Thursday with updates to the item schematics adding new mysterious items. Also announced to be released this year was the last of the "Meet The Team" videos, "Meet The Pyro". Can this promo coincide with this? Seems more than a coincidence though I could be running down roads that don't exist. All I know is that Valve has plenty to announce and show, and we have nothing better to do than analyze a good deal....
