Meeting The Pyro On Monday? And More Team Fortress Type news

The plot thickens?
Dear readers. Thanks for the countless emails, facebook messages and twitter PM's. I am aware the Pyro updated the official Team Fortress 2 site, and that bananas indicate the Pyro is some sort of banana loving monkey woman. In other news, I have become the new Valve reporter for the site. I love the title, though I lose the ability to count to three.

In case you missed out, in preperation for the new update Valve added 7 new items to Team Fortress 2 in hype for the "Meet The Pyro" update, the last video of the series that has garnered millions of views. What you may have missed are the many announcements that have come since then. Is Adult Swim working on a Team Fortress TV show, or a collection of Squidbilly hats? When will the new update be available at last? Find out after the break!

Firstly, the bad news. No Team Fortress 2 Adult Swim show! But the two companies are certainly hyping something. Whilst no-one is sure what, I can be assured it will involve some sort of cross-promo, including the possible premier of Meet The Pyro on Adult Swim, something I would be OK with (despite the lack of Adult Swim in the UK). I'm sure if you sign up, the hat will be worth it.

For the Team Fortress 2 Viral update (and sorry for the late report!); over the last couple of days a few updates have happened. It turns out the useless items were not so useless as people crafted 2 bananas skins together to create a error code unique to each player. There were a number of unique codes (8 in total) which lead to 8 QR codes which in turn lead to this interesting piece of viral information:
If you didn't know, according to the Team Fortress 2 lore Saxon Hale is the creater of Mann Co., the company behind the Redd & Blue team. Poopy Joe is a monkey who has been has been hinted at during a number of campaigns. What is most interesting is the new blog update of nothing but Mmmmph's, which most people passed off as a joke. That wasn't the case, a folks on sites such as Reddit managed to glean that the post was actually morse, hinting at some form of announcement coming Monday. It looks like we have a few more days (Or weeks) till we find out the identity of the Pyro, but the viral is having its intended effect. Stay tuned for more updates as they come!
