The Post Apocalyptic Worlds Of Tokyo Illusion

Yoyogi Station (Via)
While researching some of the interesting foreign ads for the 2010 Denzel Washington flick, 'The Book Of Eli,' I ran into the blog of a Japanese artist called Tokyo Illusion (Aka 東京幻想). The interesting specialty of this artist is that he has one focus, illustrating what a post apocalyptic, overgrown Japan might look like someday. Using a mix of photo reference of real life locations coupled with paintovers, he achieves the look of man made areas reclaimed by nature, with no other sign of life in sight. Its a surreal set of images that really evoke a strange, unsettling sense of wonder. Check out more sights from Tokyo Illusion's world after the break!
