I'd drop my life savings on this, Kodak (Via) |
April Fools everyone! Though we didn't try and trick anyone with some elaborate joke about the website shutting down this year, many other sites did! Some of them were actually pretty cool, funny and original. We already covered the Google 8bit Map and IGN's Mass Effect cartoon, so I thought I'd share a few of my favorites from other websites. Check them out after the break!
RETRO CITY RAMPAGE
Retro City Rampage, developed by Vblank Entertainment Inc got a retro cereal ad to play off its own retro take on Grand Theft Auto.
DESTRUCTOID
Destructoid redirected their users to a faux dating site. Okdtoid promises to be '
the best dating site for gamers,' allowing users to join other gamers who have the same mindset and promises to be a '
total sausage fest.'
YOUTUBE
For those who can't get enough of cat videos and videos, the youtube collection promises a selection of your favorite genres and categories in a number of DVD selections. How else can you hold the future of web entertainment in your hands?
BLIZZARD
Blizzard is always well known for fooling around on April and this year is no different. The WoW factory unveiled a line of games designed for a young audience! Blizzard Kidzz™ games are set to blow children's minds with not just the most epic, but also the most educational gaming experiences... ever.
REDDIT
Reddit has decided to copy the ever-'popular' (and totally non-glitchy) facebook time line! But instead of the past, the timeline will allow you to explore what will happen in the future! Have any questions for the last human? Ask them anything!
And I shall leave you with one final joke. Ricky Gervais has the most potent April Fools of them all:
At least I know I can host the Oscars, sir! GOOD NIGHT!
